ABOUT me

BRENT THE BLACKSHEEP

over 23 years in the music and entertainment world, playing and djing 1,000s of gigs up and down east coast, and as far as arizona, hosted a ne philly basement venue which saw many great artists such as: the homeless gospel choir (derek zanetti,) listener, erin rae, witness, spoken nerd, heath mcnease, playdough/krum, timothy brindle, and stephen the levite, just to name a few, there isn’t much brent the black hasn’t and can’t do.

this PHilly/nj native looks to make an impact on the world and call all those that don’t fit the mold, the outsiders, that aren’t in line, feel like they don’t belong, and hold a different view on things, to a place and a world where being a blacksheep isn’t a bad thing, but a badge of honor.

too much for some, not enough for others, a unique view of the world that doesn’t fit the norm, and aims to find the common ground amongst all people to change the day we live in. whether it’s on stage playing songs from his debut album, covering classics, emceeing his hip-hop mixtape, or djing a live set, brent the blacksheep brings his unmatched energy, and infectious charisma to every place he is lucky enough to perform.

Olly Olly ox free

my mission is to change the way that listeners think about and encounter their world. i want a revolution, but it has to start inside the heart of the individual, to spread to the mind of the world.

being an outsider my whole life, i used to feel like i didn’t belong. the truth is i wasn’t made to. there are other “blacksheep” out there that need to know there is a place and flock for them. that you don’t have to fit in with anyone’s POV, and that there are people out there that want to see the world change, but not in the ways being sold to them from either sides ofthe spectrum.

the pen is mightier than the sword, and sometimes being bold enough to speak can be the revolution. loving when it’s easy to hate, or when you’re expected to be at odds, can be the most revolutionary action of all.

olly olly ox free! it’s a call to anyone who wants to find a different path to the craziness of modern, and just plain old daily life.

this is the punk i want you to see, because this is the punk inside of me.
